This season’s S-Tech Cambridgeshire girls’ and women’s county football came to an exciting conclusion last week with the Girls’ League Cup finals.
Seven finals took place during the weekend, culminating in a penalty shoot-out in the Under 10 Final between Burwell Tigers and March Soccer School (with Burwell Tigers winning 4-3). Trophies were presented by Shaun Walker, Managing Director of sponsors S-Tech.
Said Walker: “We were delighted to once again be part of this excellent and very competitive season topped off by a great set of girls’ League Cup finals. We’re very pro women in our business – more than half our staff are women and we are known for our family friendly policies – so we are delighted to play our part in furthering women’s football in this area.”
S-Tech’s support has also been a vital part of the league’s success. Says Chris Abbott, Competitions Manager with Cambridgeshire FA: “The Support received from S-Tech insurance is vital for Girls’ and Women’s Football within Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas. The Cambridgeshire Football Association and Cambridgeshire Women and Girls League is extremely grateful for this support.”
