FLOOD INFORMATION FOR YOUR HOME

Aviva has developed a new flood model which estimates the damage that freak downpours can inflict on UK homes. The Insurer already has a model for coastal areas and flood plains but the new modelling takes into account the damage that surface run off can inflict on towns and cities too. This is going to be increasingly important in view of the intense rainstorms encountered in 2007 and 2009 (Cumbria) which are likely to be resultant from climate changes.
