The future of Quinn Insurance remains in serious doubt as they fight a ban by financial regulators on writing business in the UK market. The Irish Financial regulator has on the 21st April 2010 authorised a limited re-entry to the UK market allowing Quinn to write Motor Insurance cover for provisional licence holders in the UK and Northern Ireland.
Quinn Insurance is in administration but the coming days and weeks will reveal whether they survive as an insurer or become the first major insurer to cease trading since Independent Insurance in June 2001.
